If you drove past and didn't know..you wouldn't bother stopping. that would be your greatest mistake. This place produces one of the best pizzas this side of NYC. generous, fresh toppings, marvelous crust...what more is there in a pizza???!!! If you drive across town to pick up a pizza, it will not last the drive home, and your family will be very disappointed.

OK Pizza, slow service and prices are ok especially during lunch

I live on the other side of the world right now and I still crave their cheese pizza on a regular basis.

One of the two best pizza companies in town. Very good New York style pizza.

Used to be the best NY Pizza in town. Lately, though, I've been more and more disappointed with the quality and lack of consistency. The Location on Research is hands-down the poorest example of their quality with pizza often nothing like the Borriello Brothers I used to love. The service there is great - but they are clearly skimping on cheese and sauce and burned our pizza the last two times we went in. The cannolis (regular and chocolate) are still awesome, but I don't think that's enough to bring me back. Atmosphere at all locations could use a little work. Hoping the quality will restore to it's better days and maybe I'll come back

Closest to my beloved new York/new Jersey pizza. Only pizza in town worth getting well other than rustica.

This was the best pizza I have had in a long time! The crust was perfect. The sausage was spicy... very nice

My friends and I decided to try this place out after it was recommended to us as the best pizza joint in the Colorado Springs area. They make east coast (New York) style, but unlike some New York style, the pizzas were not too thin crust at all. It had the same thickness as what you would find at Dominoes or Papa John's. My favorite of the bunch was the ham with onions. I found it a bit weird, that for some reason, all the pizzas were a bit soggy on the bottom, which detracted from the experience a little bit. Other than that, I really enjoyed all the pizzas that I tried. The only drawback that I could see was that their dough wasn't the best tasting. If you want to try a great pizza dough, go to the Homemade Pizza Company in Chicago. They have the kind of dough that tastes great, without putting anything on it. Overall, I was very happy with these pizzas. Also, please note that I grew up in Chicago and so have ridiculously high expectations for pizza. Definitely not the best that I've had, but I don't doubt that these are the best pizzas in Colorado Springs. If you're looking for a great local pizza joint, look no further.

Went again in June of '10. Just as good!!! The best location is the one downtown. The others are good, but just not the same!

Three words: Fried Eggplant. Really good on pizza it turns out. Who knew? Now I'm all gluten-free but the have gluten free personal pizzas; so since I'm also dairy free I'll have them leave off the cheese and see how it tastes. Maybe today! They are now up in Monument, CO...my neck of the woods.

This is great pizza. My daughter and her family live on the Air Force Academy and they even deliver there! When I suggested ordering pizza after a long day of sightseeing, they immediately said Borriello Brothers!

Oh my gosh!!! I dream about the Pizza Bianca! Seriously though, I hate pizza but I will swear by their pizza.

Great NY Style Pizza, love it, must go there the next time I'm in the Springs.

I've been known to travel far and wide to find the best ny pizza and have sampled the various places said to originate the style in ny and new haven, ct. Well, the flavor here was pretty good but there was much to be desired. This has to be the soggiest pizza I have ever come across. I don't know if it was a one day only thing but my party got 3 pizzas and they all were so wet that we couldn't keep the cheese anywhere near the bread, to say the cheese slid off was an understatement. I believe the sauce was watery and the oven was not quite hot enough.

Came here after checking out some houses in the area. I had had Poor Richard's the day before and was rather unimpressed, so was hoping for something more to my liking, since I'm moving to the area. And boy we scored. Much better. Good amount of cheese, great sauce, copious amounts of grease. One of the better NY-style places I've had in Colorado. I ate too much, so I guess it was pretty good.

  • Dorian H.

I looooove their pizza. It definitely has a unique taste. My favorite is their thin crust plain cheese pizza. I wish they had a location in Denver :(

    (4)
  • Dan L.

Solid pizza, nothing exceptional. Go for the 2 for $20 deal. Colorado Springs is not a great for pizza, but Bo Bros is one of the best places. It's classic greasy, thin crust pizza that is great to have around while watching football. Nothing about it is too memorable, though, and I have had many better pizzas than the ones they serve here.

    (3)
  • Jav V.

Having just moved here from NYC, this is the closest resemblance to NY pizza that I've found. It's not great or anything. It's kinda like the average slice you'd get in NY, but for CO, it's excellent.

    (3)
  • Michael G.

As an avid pizza aficionado originally growing up in the NYC area where my father built a napoletana pizza oven in my back yard I can say that Boriello Brothers is a great slice joint. Definetly the best slice i've had in the Colorado Springs area and the closest thing around here to a NY slice that i've found. A regular slice here is good but what i really like is the white pie (bianco). I give my stamp of approval and i recommend this place to all my friends. The location on Barnes and Oro Blanco is a very comparable off shoot to this downtown pizza joint.

  • NO O.

Borriello Brothers is some of the best pizza in Colorado Springs. The crust is thin, which I love. The slices are big, just like in New York. The ratio of cheese to sauce is ideal--I am neither over-cheesed nor over-sauced. Pick any toppings you like, but my favorite is the "College Vegetarian": eggplant, spinach, and tomatoes. There aren't as many toppings as many pizza places, but that's just because Borriello Brothers doesn't have to rely on tons of toppings to distract you from the pizza as a whole. The prices are reasonable for the quality of pizza you get, and there are good student discounts.

  • Kenneth B.

Great NY style pizza - hand tossed thin crust. No goo or raw cheese floating in a sea of raw dough here. Keep it simple and order a cheese pie. A sprinkle of parsley is nice. One of our favorites is green olives and banana peppers. But really, you want a cheese pie. Make sure they cook it through. Remind them. Seating area is sterile and uninspired. They don't serve beer due to the proximity of the high-school. This is to-go only for us (the alcoholic family).

    (4)
  • Adam X.

My favorite NY style pizza to take home. The blanco, white pizza, is what we get most of the time.

    (3)
  • Sam H.

Borriello Brothers is definitely one of the beat pizza joints in Colorado Springs. They deliver well on their NY style pizza promise, and at two pizzas for $20 you really cannot go wrong. I've been going there regularly for over a yet and I strongly recommend it to you!

    (5)
  • Stephen F.

The only true East Coast style pizza place in town. Their thin crust is a fold-able treat. I've tried most types and I liked them all with the exception of their white pizza and pesto. The Calzones are good too. Modest sit- down area. Crazy at lunch time with Palmer High across the street. Haven't tried their subs.

  • Louie C.

This is absolutely the best pizza you will find outside of New York. It is as authentic as it gets. If you like New York style pizza, this is the place for you: big floppy pieces that you have to fold to eat, crusty yet chewy dough, the perfect tomato sauce and a generous amount of cheese. It's truly out of this world. Don't forget to blot off the grease on your slice of heaven with a napkin first! If you prefer Chicago style pizza, look elsewhere. DISCLAIMER: Borriello Brothers has expanded. I believe there are two more locations now. None of the other locations have the same quality of pizza as the original Borriello's on Platte. It's very similar, but you won't find the five star pizza you'll get at their downtown location. The difference is in the crust. I actually asked the owner why the crust is so different, and he explained to me that the oven at their original location makes all the difference because it's one of a kind and has been broken in. This five star rating is for the original Borriello Brothers on Platte. FYI: If you want the real thing, it's worth going out of the way to their original location.

We ordered from the Fountain location. I couldn't find it on Yelp but I didn't want to not post a review. We ordered a half-n-half custom pizza, and a half Caesar salad that came with the garlic knots. It arrived right on time at our hotel room. The delivery man (Eric F. possibly) was extremely pleasant. Our salad was good, it had fresh shaved Parmesan. There were a few old (brownish) pieces of lettuce mixed in but it wasn't a big deal. The garlic knots were very good but I wondered if they could have been cooked a bit more. I ordered way too many cheeses on my side so I had to take some of it off. The flavors were great though and the red sauce is definitely tasty. The pizza itself wasn't overly greasy either. My husband would give it five stars for flavor and overall taste. The only reason I hesitate to give it five stars is because it appeared that the pizza dough could have been cooked more too. There were some opaque looking spots in the crust that made me think that. Other than that we would definitely try it again if we're in the area. I would like to try it in house next time!

  • Debbie M.

Pizza was great! Staff was very helpful explaining the options. My husband said it was the best crust he'd had in a long time. They got one of our pizzas wrong but we're super apologetic and would have cooked it over but we made do with it and it wasn't that big of a deal. Garlic knots were awesome!! Very casual and all three of us are for $16. Not bad at all!!

  • Myron P.

Garlic knots on point! Pizza is hot & really good! Always, love how how the employees are personable & seems like they really love their job.

Awesome cheese and pepperoni pizza with garlic knots! Local pizza at its finest. Almost New York style.

My friend is from New York and she loved it I thought it was great too. The staff was nice and helped make this my new thing EDDIE

Don't make the mistake of calling for a pick up order without a menu in front of you. Had this pie before and it was good so called in an order for husband to pick up. You would think it would be easy to get smallest to largest sizes but this was an obvious chore for the guy who answered the phone. Came close to telling him to forget it but wrote this review instead. Would not want a representative of MY company being a jerk to potential customers. Food isn't that great to be disrespected by employees.

  • Rick B.

Great pizza. I had the Cheeseburger. And my wife had the Godfather hero. We both really enjoyed the food. The Staff was really nice young folks and the atmosphere was old time pizza parlor. Very nice, would return.

Being from the North East, I'm not sure where or how this pizza is "authentic" in any way. If this is New York style pizza then it must be from either Buffalo or the Finger Lakes region, not from NYC. These guys are generally friendly in all of the stores for the most part, service is decent enough, and I can tell that they try to make a good menu, but here's the problem: ingredients. Italian neighborhoods would make their sauce a religion. It's pretty apparent these guys are opening generic, white, 1 gallon cans of something labeled "tomato sauce". I've never tasted any sauce so empty, soulless and bland. There's no stewing of sauce going on at 5am here, nor is there any "doctoring" to at least revive whatever generic can they're having brought-in. The sauce is not spiced with oregano, basil, salt, or as most Italians know, a pinch-of-sugar. The sauce is coloring only. An afterthought that's depressing. Even the smallest of pizza joints on the "East Coast" know the sauce is the soul of the pie. Sigh. The cheese is generic. Forget fresh mozzarella. They're absolutely not making their own here, which is easy to do. It tastes like they're getting low-moisture cheapest "mozzarella cheese food product" in massive bulk plastic containers something robots would love. You think there's Romano or Parmesan? Yeah, no. Because of altitude, the dough rises poorly. Good pizza places in Colorado recognize the yeast will not rise well here (as well as good bakeries) so they will install fans to pressurize the air to help the crust rise. Nope. Clueless, so the pizza end crust ends-up flat and tastes like Syrian "pocket" bread as if it was unleavened. Jews rejoice, I guess. Meat placement is frugal and you can see "bottom dollar" efforts here to save money. An large should have more than 3 slices of peperoni per pizza-slice. Just sayin'. It should be covered completely, but that wouldn't be "cost effective". Term of the day for them. Bottom-line cost-effectiveness. The pizza is reminiscent of if you were to buy a "pizza kit" by Ragu at WalMart. I would love to revamp this restaurant, but Back East Bar & Grill has them beat, as well as Boardwalk New Jersey Pizza on 104th in Denver. The subs are not bad though, so they earn a star for that, as the meat is the exact opposite of Subways in that regard, though not utterly stellar, it earns points. Highlight the "Godfather" sandwich on your list of tries. They just can't get pizza right. Still, Gandolfo's at the Southlands Mall in Aurora puts it to shame (at half the cost) or Pat's Philly Subs (who import their bread from Philly as the water is different there, minerals, etc. brilliant, actually, and true). Sauce matters, kids.

Pizza isn't bad but the slice size is the only NY thing about this place. Order online and missing food, however driver went back and pick it up from the store.

  • Jonathan B.

Good news. Just as I suspected, I liked it better when I didn't get the spinach salad AND the Greek pizza which is just a pizza with the spinach salad as the toppings. This time we went with some more traditional toppings and loved the pizza. The spinach salad was good too with lots of fresh spinach, tomatoes, feta, etc. I highly recommend Boriello Brothers. Good pizza. Timely delivery. Just the tip - I'm a big fan of thin crust cooked well done and they did it right.

  • Joel H.

First pizza I've had in the springs that was really excellent. We got the Chicken Alfredo pizza which was insane. We got free garlic knots from yelp, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Yankees memorabilia everywhere was just a bonus. They made the wrong pizza for us but noticed before giving it to us so we just waited a few extra minutes. Nbd. They offered free drinks and stuff too.

As far as I am aware of this is the only place that comes close to north eastern NY style pizza around the area. If your from NY, PA, or NJ and want a taste of back home, this is the place. Excellent Pizza!

  • Jennifer T.

Great food I orders the Downtown calzone backed it was great! The best part for me was that the calzone came in an eco friendly package no styrofoam. Very cool It is a very large portion i could not eat it all in one sitting and it does not microwave well. Next time I'll try to re heat in the oven

  • Meghan E.

Love this pizza!!!! Definitely my Sunday favorite! Not the fastest delivery but definitely worth every minute of waiting. If you are looking for a delicious pizza with great sauce and toppings try it out!

    (5)
  • Johan S.

The Sicilian pizza left much to be desired. The garlic knots were on point but the pizza was hardly anything to come back for. I would stick to the classic NY style if I were you. Though to be fair when we mentioned the lackluster pie they fixed us a new thin crust that we took home with us.

    (3)
  • Rusty M.

I do not understand the 4 star reviews. We ordered the cheese steak pizza, gluten free margarita pizza, garlic knots and a house salad for takeout. I would not recommend any of these items. The cheese steak pizza was ok, it was thicker than typical NY style pizzas, but it was not crave worthy. The garlic knots we're tasteless balls of dough. The salad was cheap and dried out iceberg lettuce. The gluten free pizza was forgettable.

  • Jim C.

Great New York style pizza! This is my favorite in the Colorado Springs area by far. They offer a thin crust, fresh topping pizza with cheese so good it will make you want to get a plain cheese pizza. I also highly recommend their boneless chicken wings in their Blazen BBQ sauce (hot sauce/BBQ mix).

    (4)
  • Windy R.

Excellent food!!! The garlic knots were especially amazing! Warm and fresh from the oven. The pizza was ok. Better than most places. The staff were also very friendly.

    (5)
  • Chris M.

This is far and away the best pizza in Colorado Springs. I've lived on the East Coast and West Coast and have traveled everywhere in between and this ranks probably in the top 2. If you are looking for authentic New York style pizza this is the place to go. Go for breakfast, buy a couple slices for lunch and then come back for some garlic knots before dinner then wash it all down with a cannoli.

    (5)
  • Robert R.

Bad, bad, bad. over an hour late, missing items and marginal food. We had calzones and they were almost inedible. I dont think a single person out of our group of six enjoyed their food. We had a mix of traditional and uptown varieties. The boneless wings were soggy too. I know that sogginess is a byproduct of getting food to go, but this was just a mush of goo. I have had pizza here other times (both take out and in person), but I think I would get other pizza downtown. Getting close to removing them from the "go to" office take-out places.

    (1)
  • Marc R.

Pretty good New York style pizza. Large, nice thinner crispy crust. Friendly staff as well. Would eat there again definitely!

  • Julie L.

My first impression was, "Big NY style pizza, delish." By any means necessary, I just love getting my hands on some NY style pizza. I love the thin crust, chewy dough that you fold before you take a bite. When I discovered Borriello Brothers, we had to our hands on some good pizza. I feel like the pizza is better here when you stick to the basics like the meat combinations of pepperoni, sausage, and ham, or just a cheese pizza. Just a note, although I do love overloads of toppings, when it comes down to the pizza I like it bare. Meaning good cheese pizza really tells me the pizza basics (dough, sauce, cheese) is high quality. The only negative was that the wait for our take-out pizza took awhile...as in we were sitting there for close to 40 minutes. The lasting impression, "Great place for a pizza night, but I'm calling in early next time around."

    (3)
  • Kasey B.

I like the Centennial location a lot, so naturally I tried this downtown location. Boy was that a mistake. The establishment seemed dirty, dingy, and the food was really bad. I maintain the calzone I had there was poisoned, it tasted like an oil spill. One of those one bite and your done type things.Don't discount all of the Boriellos, but walk over to the food trucks instead of eating at this one. But don't park in the Boriello lot because you are likely to have an employee come out and punch your car (personal experience speaking). It was cartoonish because he was waving a wooden rolling pen in the air at me as well. I thought I was being punkd.

  • Christopher S.

A-okay for this little pizza joint. Nothing spectacular. But this is right next to a highschool. So a place where they can get their quick fix. Tip: Check in to get the free Garlic knots. These weren't a little doughy, but can't argue with free.

    (3)
  • Brittany C.

I'm not the biggest fan of NY style pizza but this pizza is delicious, the sauce really makes it! Good prices, fun busy environment .

    (4)
  • Durell B.

Probably the best pizza place in the Springs.. hands down. This will get you your east coast fix, truly. This is the original location and during school lunch times this place will fill up with high school kids, so you may want to avoid those times. Other than that, there's nothing bad to say about this place, great flavor, plentiful toppings and friendly people. I wish I had one of these in Orange County :( People of the springs are lucky....

    (5)
  • Lindsay B.

The worst pizza I've ever tasted! Had no sauce on it, no flavor, and I ordered sausage but it was a cross hybrid of gyro meat and pepperoni. The prices are great but the food is crap :/

    (1)
  • Roger L.

If you are looking for the best approximation of New York style pizza in the springs, you need to go to this Borriello Brothers on Platte downtown. Although there are more than one, they are not all the same. I have been consistently disappointed with the one on 8th. This one, however, gets a New Yorker's stamp of approval. While Leon Gessi may be close, and does have that great deal Tuesday nights, the crust, sauce, and greasy cheese from here can't be beat.

    (4)
  • Cobra K.

This is where I go to get pizza. I don't do Pizza Hut, I don't do Anthony's, I don't do Luigi's...only Borriello's Brothers. Pizza is hella expensive but most significantly represents NY style pizza. Thinner crust, huge toppings and a slice big enough you can fold it over. Unfortunately, at the rate that I keep throwing on toppings, the pie gets pretty dang expensive.

    (4)
  • Chris H.

I've been going to Borriello since I moved here 5 years ago and I really think it's the best pizza in town. Who cares about whether or not it's exactly like some variations of some New York pizza? Relax. This place is delicious for what it is and I've never had a pizza disappoint!

    (4)
  • C F.

Their pizza is very good for a take out joint. I used to order from them 90% of the time. However, their service is so terrible for delivery that I've stopped ordering from them altogether. I've waited up to 2 hours for a pizza and the average wait time is about 50 min. The pizza is always cold and the crust is always soggy by the time it gets to us. Half the time the entire pizza is mangled upon delivery. If you want Borriello Bros make sure you order and eat at the store. If you do they have some great pizza...but delivery through them is a nightmare.

  • Meagan B.

Tasty 'za and the BEST chocolate cake! Don't forget the Caprese salad!

    (4)
  • Kim N.

Great pizza, and my kids love the slide and arcade in the 8th street location. Lunch specials are cheap, and they are in the Entertainment Book.

    (4)
  • Melissa D.

I can't believe this place has 4 stars. THIS IS NOT NEW YORK PIZZA!!! Way overpriced, soggy, and just plain gross pizza.

    (2)
  • Jamie W.

I consider myself somewhat of a pizza snob, I would much rather eat my homemade pies than pretty much everything else in Colorado Springs, save a few places, and Borriello Brothers is definitely one of those places. Great flavors all the way through, they don't overload the crust with tons of sauce and cheese, you can tell they've been making pizza the exact same way for a long time. I would say this though, I've been to every location and I think the best pizza comes from the oven inside the centennial location. They get a char and crispness to the crust that's just not possible without a ceramic hearth oven.

    (4)
  • Gus S.

It's the best Pizza in the Springs, but it would be considered some of the worst Pizza in NY or NJ. I tolerate it cause it's better then chain pizza, but it still sucks compared to the east coast. Maybe it's the dirty water in NY/NJ.

    (2)
  • Kat M.

We got two HUGE pizzas for 11 bucks each because they were having an Olympic special. They were awesome. The adults gobbled it up and so did my three year old. For the great food I'd give it 5 stars anyway but the customer service was even better. We got our food to go and we're waiting around and my son was hot and tired and said he was thirsty. We went to go buy a drink and they gave him a little cup of lemonade for free. It's a small gesture but most establishments don't bother doing that these days so I appreciated the hospitality. They would've been my go to pizza place regardless but with their friendliness they won our business for a long long time.

  • J J.

Very good pizza - thin and crispy. Try the slide!

    (4)
  • Courtney R.

Boriello Brothers is a good alternative to your big box pizza chains but, for the record, (insert heavy new york/italian accent) it ain't NY pizza! The place is a little pricey for what you get. On a rainy day when I don't want to leave the house and I'm craving a slice I'll call BB but normally wouldn't waste the calories.

It is hands down the best of the best.!!!
